I'm sure you guys have heard that Beat 99.9 fm OAP Oreka Godis who handles morning rush with Olisa has tendered in her resignation.So from November 1, you will no longer hear her voice on the station.

Different people telling me diff things, that shes leaving because of what Olisa did, another saying shes going back to the UK indefinitely, i dont even know which to believe. But i wish her well

Who said what's in the past stays in the past. There are some things that can't just be forgotten, no matter how much you try. Sunny Ade's "Igbeyinloju" hit track from the 80s, is one of them.

Baba Suwe to slam N1bn suit on NDLEA

Baba Suwe,is planning to file a N1 billion suit against the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) over his arrest and detention.

Baba Suwe was arrested by the NDLEA on October 12 at the Murtala
Muhammed International Airport,Ikeja, Lagos and is still being detained.
The NDLEA had alleged that the 53-year-old actor had ingested substances suspected to be hard drugs, but there has been no evidence to substantiate the claim,even after the suspect has defecated thrice under close observation.

His lawyer, Mohammed Bashir, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in a telephone interview, on Wednesday, that a fundamental rights enforcement suit would be filed on his behalf within the next five days. Bashir said: “We will be filing the suit before a Federal High Court in Lagos between now and Monday.“We will be asking for N1 billion as compensation for damages suffered by him due to his illegal arrest and detention, as well as the embarrassment and defamation
done to his reputation as a result of the incident.”

While most workers from the various aviation agencies, who spoke on condition of anonymity, are blaming the NDLEA for refusing to release Baba Suwe after nothing
was found in his excreta, they are of the opinion that he should institute a legal action against the NDLEA while others said the agency should be allowed to follow due process without any sentiment.Those who have sympathy for the actor based their argument on the reasoning that if Baba Suwe actually ingested drug, he should
have excreted same and that it would have affected his health by now.

While the controversy rages, the NDLEA officials seem to be overwhelmed as to the next line of action to take if the comedian does not excrete drug the fourth time.

Despite the drama, the NDLEA, through its spokesperson, Mitchel Ofoyeju, insisted that Baba Suwe would remain in its custody until
every step was taken. Ofoyeju had said: “I can confirm that Baba Suwe is still under
observation. He excreted for the third time last night and no under was found. But he remains under observation. “It will not end at the third excretion, because it depends on body composition. For some people,it takes more time, more excretions.
It really depends on the body of each individual.”

Alexander Amosu’s OK! Nigeria Magazine announces “Top Job” reality show

Alexander Amosu, the award-winning serial entrepreneur, has announced plans to launch a reality television show to find a junior editor for OK! Nigeria Magazine. The reality series tagged “Top Job” is expected to discover budding editors who will be given the chance to showcase their talent and secure their dream job. The show promises to deliver quality family entertainment with fun and exciting content for Nigerian television.

The thirty minute weekly show will air on major television stations all over Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States of America and is expected to run for eight weeks. Each episode will be packaged to highlight the values of the OK! international brand with a Nigerian twist. Ok! Nigeria magazine would launch a few months later than earlier scheduled to accommodate the show.

Amosu, a young entrepreneur who turned his interest in technology and the mobile phone industry into a commercial success story, now heads a business at the forefront of mobile entertainment. He also runs a mentoring service and hopes that “Top Job” will be a tool of guidance and standard for intending publishers in Nigeria.

Top Job is expected to broaden the minds of young writers who seek to pursue a career in journalism in the 21st century.

Speaking on the initiative, Alex said that “the internet age has transformed the practice of news reporting around the world and we want to use this medium to educate young writers and reporters on new age journalism as well as engage the Nigerian television viewers with world class entertainment.”

The winner will get the top job of being a junior editor for OK! Nigeria Magazine, a venture managed by Amosu’s Kamson Luxury Group. OK! Nigeria will be a monthly publication and content will be 60% Nigerian celebrities on a global scale, whilst just 20% of the 60% will be local Nigerian celebrities in Nigeria. The remaining 40% is divided into 30% African American celebrities such as Will Smith and Oprah and the remaining 10% will be the usual celebrities we love to read about such as Paris Hilton and David Beckham. Nigeria will be the first African country to launch an indigenous edition. A press conference is anticipated to hold in the coming months to announce the kick off of auditions around major cities in Nigeria for the show.

The governor, Abiola Ajimobi, is said to have appointed his daughter, Bisola as a Personal Assistant and the decision is said to be causing a lot internal rifts amongst his kitchen cabinet.I hear they are very close,more like best friends and he trusts her a lot.
When did govt affairs become family affairs,o ga oh! Truthfully i'm not sure i would accept it oh! but then again thats me so to each his own

GIULIANA RANIC HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH BREAST CANCER.

E!news TV presenter Giuliana Rancic has been diagnosed with breast cancer. The E! 37, discovered she had a tumor while undergoing in-vitro fertilisation in a bid to get pregnant. However, doctors are optimistic they have detected the cancer early and she will make a full recovery.

Rancic made the announcement on NBC's Today Show this morning, admitting she will undergo surgery later this week.

She said: 'Through my attempt to get pregnant through IVF, we sadly found out that I have early stages of breast cancer. It's been a shock.'

Rancic and her husband Bill were preparing to undergo a third round of IVF treatment after two failed attempts when a doctor asked her to have a mammogram.

She was initially resistant to the idea because she considered herself to young to be at risk, but the doctor demanded she undergo the test because the surge of hormones during pregnancy can accelerate cancer.

She explained: 'I wasn't prepared to get a mammogram until I was 40 years old, like I'd been told. I never in my wildest dreams expected anything to be wrong. It was just a kick in the stomach.'
Recalling the moment she found out, Rancic said: 'I went into the hospital in L.A., when they came in to tell me, they said it pretty quickly, they just said, "I'm sorry, you have breast cancer."

'It's what you expect, but so much more, it was like, incredible instant sobbing and the world just crashed down around me. I couldn't believe it - 36 years old, no family history? I couldn't believe it.'
After her lumpectomy, Rancic will undergo six weeks of radiation therapy.
