THE BRIGHTEST AND THE BEST: Full Nominees List for The Future Awards Unveiled! Reception holds December 19!

Na wa oh! this list is very funny....i dont know why I go die wasnt on the list of comedians of the year and am sure he isnt more than 30 and i know am not the only one that heard Teju babyface say he is 31 on his show, and some of the magazines on Magazine of the year *coughs*.

Anyways It’s the most anticipated list this year! The Future Awards, Nigeria’s most influential youth event, after unveiling its spectacular Young Person of the Year nominees has week, has now released the full Nominees List for all 21 categories.

Voting begins immediately! The voting numbers are 33120 for Nigeria and 80079 for the UK and Canada According to the organisers, voting takes only 50% of the first stage of judging, so winners are not selected by voting popularity – there is a 4-stage judging process involving a Board of Judges and an Independent Audit Committee headed by veteran journalist Dr. Reuben Abati. There is also a two week-period for members of the public to make complaints about any of the nominees to awards Central Working Committee (CWC). Please send complaints to info@thefuturenigeria.com.

All the nominees will be celebrated at an invitation-only media and VIP Nominees Reception on Sunday December 19, 2010 – where they will also be inducted into the elite The Future Alumni Network. The event will also be an opportunity to raise money for Love on the Streets, an NGO working with disadvantaged children of the Dustbin Estate, Lagos.

More information is on Let the race begin!

Half the list is completely false! The ages are just absurd. The Future Awards is fast losing credibility, half of the designer of the year list is just laughable. So if I just cut and join 2 different fabrics, I too will get a nomination? And Latasha Ngwube for journalist of the year? Isn’t one of the criteria for this category supposed to be that the nominees are actually journalists? Just asking….

I hope Bella wins before the next edition, when Pete Edochie and Adamu Ciroma will definitely be nominated !

I’m shocked by the absurdity of this list. Can’t we do things right??? Like all the way? Hakeem Shagaya… Excellence in Public Service??? He was a contract staff/Assistant for the former Minister of State for finance!!! WTF??????
Most of these nominees are laughable, can we stop celebrating mediocrity and look for real talent!

Laughing my Ass off. That is the problem with Nigerians, we can't tell the truth even if our lives depended on it. Chude Jideonwo and his crew are too lazy to do independent research on some of these ages. It just make the whole thing stupid
