NOTICE ON MISREPRESENTATION OF ASA'S WORKS

It has come to our attention that a certain Nigerian Chronotech Limited (a CD factory) based in Lagos Nigeria is preparing to go into commercial production of a purported Asa music production titled ‘Down On Me’.

The music production was purportedly authorised by Question Mark entertainment in partnership with marketer/ distributor MacKings Limited.

We wish to state categorically that Asa was not involved in this production in any form and the artiste's team is very shocked by this misrepresentation from Question Mark entertainment or MacKings Limited, two organisations with which she has no relationship whatsoever.

We also take this opportunity to notify individuals and organisations that this production and the associated illegal use of the Asa trademark is a violation of her intellectual property. We have informed our lawyers and appropriate action will be taken against any individual, body or corporate entity associated with this.

We thank Nigerian Chronotech for its professionalism in this matter - and for promptly alerting Asa's management to confirm the authenticity of this production, and look forward to this professionalism from other Nigerian music industry stakeholders.

Asa continues to work hard on her music, and fans and the public will be promptly informed of any new releases through her management, publicist and other official channels.

STREET KINGS HAPPENING LIVE ON THE 25TH OF FEBRUARY

WHATEVER HAPPENED TO LIL KIM

*sigh*

RE-RUN 3. TRUE LIFE STORY.

A friend from the Lekki Axis told me this story, kindly read carefully.

For those of us that know Lekki well, this happened around the Chevron Roundabout.

"After work last week Wednesday, I was on my way home when a woman driving an old Peugeot 505 in front of me brushed a young girl driving a very clean Honda Accord .

‪This young girl came down from the car and started insulting the woman, who was old enough to at least be her mother or Aunt.

‪All efforts by passersby to pacify her (the "KELE" aka young girl)proved abortive as she said the car was bought by her boyfriend...

I just watched and sympathized with the woman. She told the girl she'd fix the car but it was already evening, getting late and she had no money on her unless the girl followed her home if her hubby could help.

‪The girl kept screaming as people tried to beg on behalf of the woman. The girl blatantly refused and decided to call her boyfriend saying:

‪"Baby boy, a stupid woman just hit my car".

The car he bought her. The man appeared in no minute ready to please his girlfriend by raining insults on the woman.

On getting there, he started shouting, "Where is the stupid woman that hit your car",ONLY TO REALIZE THE "STUPID WOMAN" IS HIS WIFE...

Personally i was weak to my bones, God help us oh!!!! MEN, MEN MEN!!!

RE-RUN 2. WIFEY,KELE,BOO..... WHICH ARE YOU?

Am wondering where to start from with this one and i guess i would just start from the beginning... "i Love to hang out with "the dudes" u just learn a whole lot from them and i get insiders jist on the various types abi categories of women.

On one of these blessed days sitting by the pool in my fathers house, we just started talking about women because i said Lagos babes, cant remember what the argument was about.
T then proceeded to tell me the types of women we have and are listed below:
1.Wifey.
2.Boo
3.Kele.

Then T2 said Wifey, iyawo, olo mi is IRREPLACEABLE,and the only one that is Irreplaceable. She is the one baby loves and will always love(he just comes back to her),BUT and a big but he will cheat on her with Boos and keles until he realizes no one does it like she does.... and he said am looking for wifey and continued sipping his Heineken....

Boo: on the other hand is very replaceable, she thinks she is WIFEY but will never be WIFEY because WIFEY was made WIFEY!!!! Boo tries to take WIFEY'S spot, but once she attempts, the guy would let her get A TASTE but she will never achieve this spot for more than a few months....Most times boo gets replaced with another boo or the man gets mature and moves back to his first love...OB said this as he is seriously trying to cut down on his numerous boos and make one wifey...I personally feel that boo can lead to wifey(but its in some cases oh!!!)...

KELE;On the other hand and both of them had varied opinions,Kele to T is just handbag and for when he is having a long day(can u imagine). To OD he takes kele everywhere so he has something to feel on(i was standing up at this time and i almost fell into the pool with laughter " the statement"i take her everywhere" OD works for himself and has flexible times and is a man about time so i can imagine Kele feeling all hot in the passengers seat...Mercy oh Lord,MERCY!!!!

Am not saying that what this "wonderful" friends of mine are saying is the best or is right but ladies pls open Ur beautiful eyes and use them(if u have contacts on(u for try remove am,or get better ones)as they may be unknown hindrances) dont be with a man because u dont want to be single, be with him cuz it makes sense and both of u are in love and all those ish..Pls Men be careful oh... as "HELL KNOWS NOT THE FURY OF A WOMAN SCORNED"

PIC OF THE DAY

Pls oh! this is my blog oh! and i can put the picture i want *side eye* so plix appreciate the pic. Ese

RE-RUN1--------> WEDDINGS,ME AND NIGERIA

Now some things have changed oh! i want to dance in with Bracket or Davido, maybe not such a big wedding anymore, maybe not even the polo shirts, maybe not TBS or even Eko hotel, something classy with the ones i love being able tp share my day with me

.
In the end my marriage is what is important, the wedding would be for a week max.

Weddings weddings weddings....@ some point in my life i was addicted to it, checking out wedding websites like it was going out of fashion, to say that that i was ready for my wedding and all that was left was the groom will be an understatement, to the extent that i couldn't go for an hour without chirping in on this wedding website or how lovely a bride looks or the fact that i wanted 20 bridesmaids and 20groomsmen(totaling 40) i know sey u think i dey craze but then again a girls got dreams and fantasies..

I know for my wedding i want it to be big with the whole feferity, me dancing in to the reception with dbanj live with "fall in Love" and my groom by my side chei Omoyeni oh!!!! and then the fact that i didn't want to be in my wedding dress all day @ the reception, i and hubby would later change into polo shirts with inscription of bride and groom on it and we would dance in again to MR ENDOWED TOH BADDDD!!!!!

LWKMD sometimes i crack myself up, but all these are possible abi ki le fill???? But as i grew over the years and having talks with friends , family and people alike i found out that i was only ready for my wedding not for my marriage and that is a MAJOR DISASTER but then again with the society around, magazines even parties and weddings i attended and still attend its all about the feferity not to say there is no love involved but how much is involved in everything..Nowadays its all about whose wedding had the best souvenirs, which musician welcomed you in, who was at your wedding, how much your wedding dress cost, the carat Tunde or Lamide put on ur finger, the chairman of the occassion, where the honey moon is going to be....After all said and done, the bachelorette parry @ D Marquee is over, honeymoon and the cake from CAKES AND CREAM is done and u don shit am finish.... Going into the KOKO of the matter and you begin to ask AM I REALLY ENDOWED?????

Marriage isnt your mtn 1500 recharge card or the the Hip hop awards that lasts for a night, its the real deal..So when we are bout to ask wifey to marry you in the over elaborate proposal(i love lovely proposals sha) and ur about to say yes Lagos bigs girl..ponder for a bit and ask yourself am i getting married because i really love him or because all my friends are getting married,i don do bridal train tire or cuz every aunt and uncle keeps poking me at every wedding saying when will it be ur turn(u can also poke them at every funeral and ask when it will be their turn) or the very famous one Age isn't on my side(cut that bullshit out,i believe Gods time is the best bcos sometimes sis Kate will get married to brother John and realize she married fine man,EXQUISITE TROUBLE)...I have written all of these to write this in as much as the latest fad in Nigeria is marriage we should take time out and really access our priorities....
P.S I absolutely adore weddings and cant wait for the day i will come in for my second appearance with the polo and mr capable on the mic stand with my all time favorites "FEELING IT" and "OMOGE I DON FALL IN LOVE"(Banky Were(mad man) as my papa thought that was what the W stood for..lwkmd

The Future Awards Symposium for Young & Emerging Leaders to hold on March 19 … headline speaker, Obiageli Ezekwesili confirms

A new date has been announced for The Nigeria Symposium for Young and
Emerging Leaders. The event was postponed from January following the
protests called by organized labour and civil society. The event will now
hold on Monday, March 19, 2012.

“It has been a most instructive few weeks, and perhaps the upside to the
protests and the chain of events that followed is that they give us a
powerful real-time case study for the issues that this new generation of
leaders will gather to discuss,” said Chude Jideonwo, who is executive
director for The Future Project, lead presenter of the Symposium.
The theme for the Symposium has also been updated to “The Challenge of
Responsible Governance: How Can This Generation Do Better?” The structure
of the discussions has also been changed into three broad sections that
will reflect the recent leadership challenges highlighted recently.
“I am excited that this is back on track and that all of our speakers have
confirmed to join the conversation at this new date,” said Obiageli
Ezekwesili, the Headline Speaker. ““The necessity for such conversation
has become even more accentuated for this Turning Point Generation of
emerging leaders.”

According to the Central Working Committee, flowing from The Future
Awards, this is the next stage of its involvement in building a new
generation of leaders: creating a critical mass of new leaders who are
already blazing a trail and controlling systems – including business and
political leaders, media leaders, thought leaders, civil society and
public service leaders.

The Keynote Speaker and Headliner is Obiageli Ezekwesisli, World Bank
Vice-President for Africa. She will be supported by Bishop of the Sokoto
Diocese and member of the defunct Oputa Panel, Bishop Matthew Kukah.
The discussions will be driven by young leaders across the nation and
different sectors, but Lead-In speakers include Governor Rotimi Amaechi of
Rivers State, Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, Oronto Douglas
(Senior Special Assistant to the President on Research, Documentation &
Strategy), Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi (Honourable Minister of Youth
Development), Mallam Nasir el-Rufai (Former Minister of the FCT), amongst
others.

The event is presented by The Future Project in association with
EnoughisEnough Nigeria. Partners include the World Bank, the International
Republican Institute, the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, Paradigm
Initiative Nigeria, the Nigeria Leadership Initiative and LEAP Africa.
Media Partners are Y! (www.ynaija.com), Channels TV, Beat FM,
BellaNaija.com and CP-Africa.com.

The event will be held at the Shell Hall of the Muson Centre in Lagos, and
will be hosted by Tolu Ogunlesi, winner for CNN African Journalist of the
Year 2009; and Adaure Achumba, a correspondent for Reuters.
