NIGERIAN IDOL UNVEILED

WE MUST TO COPY SHA NI IN THIS COUNTRY.....
The Nigerian Idol is underway and it has been revealed that Yinka Davies, CEO of Chocolate City Audu Maikori and American dancer and singer Jeffery Daniel will be judges for the first edition of Nigerian Idol.

These music personalities were tactically selected from different fields in the music industry and will be responsible for judging and critiquing the performances of the contestants from start to finish. Apart from evaluating their performances they will also be advising them on how to make their performances better.

At press launch held on the 22nd of September 2010 in Lagos , CEO Optima Media Group Rotimi Pedro stated “Judging is a critical part of Idols, and as the format states, a record producer, Music director, Music Company executive, Vocal coach, casting director, Radio DJ, Songwriter, Music journalist or Artist Manager can be saddled with these duties, and that’s what we have done.

Idol judges(worldwide) since inception have been known to give accurate and sometimes stinging appraisals on the performances of the contestants; creating intrigues and drama for home entertainment, while helping the talents be the best they can be and names like Simon cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson dont fail to ring bells.

The show will be hosted by Yemisi Fajimolu (a.k.a Misi), an On Air personality with Beat 99.9FM.

Nigerian Idol will produce the Next Big International Star from Nigeria’

Nigerian Idol will kick off with Auditions in Lagos, Abuja, Enugu and Calabar with Misi taking TV audiences through the show episode by episode. “I am so excited about this, it is a dream come true for me, and I can’t wait to start on this project” she says. Applications for Idols are available for talented singers between 16 and 28, after which a list of 50 contestants who will be given tasks to prove themselves as Nigeria’s singing Idol will be selected.
Audition first appeared on the official website www.nigerianidol.com on July 2, 2010
The programme will be sponsored by Etisalat and intends to produce 'THE NEXT BIG INTERNATIONAL STAR FROM NIGERIA'.

HIGHER EXPRESSION-TOSIN MARTINS

OLO MI,ONI TEMI ORE MI OLOLUFE....Am sure you already know the full song Olo Mi by Tosin Martins....There was no engagement or wedding reception that this All time hit didn't make and i must say is still making...I remember listening to this song for 3days non stop...its such a beautiful song and then he brought out his album"HAPPY DAYS" which wasn't so bad...
Fast forward four years and he is back but this time on "A HIGHER Level". His record deal with powerhouse, Storm Records, repositioned him again for maximum exposure.

His new videos, Ololufe and Kosigi remind us the reason we fell in love with Tosin’s music in the first place. He worked with music genius, Cobhams on Ololufe, then took it back to the beginning with "Kosigi" by working with the man who produced his previous hit, Olo mi – Wole Oni. Ego features on Kosigi. His sophomore album is a dual disc offering titled, Higher: The EXPRESSION CD.

PICTURES TELL ALL WEDDING STYLE- Isi Agbonkhese weds Bobby Igenegba

Growing up, many young girls read fairy tales in their childhood and then romance novels in their teens. The descriptions of love are so awe-inspiring that they sometimes wonder if these fantasies can ever come true. When you meet the right person, it might not be a perfect fairytale, instead it is a wonderful and thrilling experience filled with love and adventures and blessed by God.
The traditional and white wedding was held in Benin city on the 14th and 15th of December 2009 and it was beautiful

JOKES

Ebuka told his Oga at the shop to wait at the gate and pick him up after
His Commerce exam at the Commercial Secondary school where he was
Registered.

He was given Commerce Exam question paper and the only question he could
Answer was question number 3 and it says:

''Differentiate between a Warehouse and a Shop.''(20marks)

After much thinking he smiled and wrote his answer:

Warehouse is at Ojota while shop is at Alaba.

Then he submitted his paper and went to meet his Oga at the gate.

Oga : Ebuka , how did it go?

Ebuka: It was so simple Oga, question number three
Says: Differentiate between a warehouse and a
Shop.

Oga : And what did you write ?

Ebuka: Well I wrote that warehouse is at Ojota while shop
Is at Alaba.

Oga : So is that all you wrote ?

Ebuka : Yes .

Oga : Common go back and put the phone numbers and
Complete address, stupid boy!

JAZZ

He’s known simply as Jazz, real name, Lanre Aluko-Olokun. He combines being a Singer/Songwriter with Fashion Designing. His work with Lorenzo Duffle Bag Designs was featured on Bella Naija earlier this year.

From a performance at the Indigo O2, for the Pride of Motherland show, to Taruwa and coming in 3rd at THE UNDERGROUND in Zamunda and a radio interview with Tosyn Bucknor on Top Radio, his act is moving up and very fast too. He’s billed to open the show for the UK leg of eLDee‘s Is It Your Money tour at Zanzi Bar in London
Homemade entertainment interviewed him on his music, his Lorenzo duffle bag designs and inspiration....

1.TELL US A BIT ABOUT LANRE ALUKO-OLOKUN.

Lanre Aluko-Olokun is a God fearing go getter .. I am the 'student' in the trio of singer, designer and student lol... the brain box. I Don't really know what to say about myself words literally cant describe!

2.THE FIRST THING THAT COMES TO MIND WHEN I HEAR "JAZZ" IS THE GENRE OF MUSIC JAZZ... WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THAT PARTICULAR STAGE NAME?

There is this mystery surrounding the name. It is catchy and unique + I love the genre and my voice has links to it. I found it and loved it immediately

3.HOW DID YOU GET INTO MUSIC?

I have always been into the arts right from primary school always loved music + writing, once I found out I could sing I went for it.

4.THERE IS ALSO LORENZO DUFFLE BAGS AND DESIGNS,THAT'S BRILLIANT,HOW DID YOU GET THAT STARTED UP AND WHAT WAS THE MOTIVATION?

Thank You. In my spare time as a child while others played football and ten ten lol apart from singing, I designed ,just drew away. I never knew i would pursue it but my high school grad class of 07 in Dowen College Lagos Nigeria decided to throw a fashion show for charity tagged 'HYPNOTIQ"i designed in the show and then and there with the crowds flair towards my designs I knew it was for me!!!
The motivation at that time came from God, my mother and Literature teacher Mrs Oge Ekpe.

5.YOU ARE OPENING THE SHOW FOR ELDEE'S LONDON TOUR..THAT'S A VERY HUGE DEAL,HOW DID U SCORE THAT?

Yes I am and yes it is. It was God's doing AND HARD WORK being viewed by the right people. As an artist I ensure all my songs are from the heart and done diligently to perfection (I am somewhat of a perfectionist) because of this my work gets acknowledged. You can say hardwork pays ...

6.APART FROM THIS SHOW YOUR ABOUT TO DO,WHAT OTHER SHOWS HAVE YOU DONE?

Just to name a few I have performed at the Indigo2 a show tagged 'Pride of the motherland' feat vocal slender. i have also performed at various shows all over the U.K from London to even Huddersfield. In Nigeria I performed at a show called 'The Underground; where I came 3rd place and got interviewed by Tosyn Bucknor of Top radio.

7.WHAT ARE THE REACTIONS OF YOUR PARENTS?

They are in full support as long as i finish my education and thats my 1st priority as at now!

8.YOU ARE STILL A STUDENT,HOW DO YOU COMBINE BOTH WORLDS?

Yes I am and to be honest its God because I excel in all I do!!! Thank God for that!

9.IS THIS A HOBBY OR ITS FULL TIME WORK?

DEFINITELY FULL TIME!!!

10..WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

GOD, MY MOTHER,LIFE AND ITS EXPERIENCES!

11. FOR YOU TO HAVE JUST DECIDED TO START UP ALL THESE,YOU MUST HAVE HAD MENTORS,WHO ARE THEY AND WHY THEM?

MY MENTORS ARE MY MOTHER, MY TUTOR MRS EKPE .. THEY DIRECTED ME ON THE RIGHT PATH!

12...AS MUCH AS MUSICIANS THESE DAYS SAY ITS ALL ABOUT THE PASSION,WE KNOW THE MONEY IS AN IMPORTANT FACTOR AS WELL... HOW IS THAT ASPECT DOING?

GOOD .. GOOD!

13.WORDS TO YOUR FANS AND THOSE THAT WANT TO FOLLOW IN YOUR FOOTSTEPS...

TO MY FANS THANK YOU FOR THE CONTINUOUS SUPPORT MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL MAKE SURE YOU COME FOR THE ELDEE SHOW OH LOL :)!!

FOLLOWERS REMEMBER TO TRUST GOD REMAIN HUMBLE AND IN TIME ALL WOULD PASS!

BB ALL STARS EVICTs HANNINGTON...WAS IT REALLY NECCESSARY

Hannington has been evicted from the Big Brother House. M-Net spokeswoman Lani Lombard said Hannington Kuteesa breached the show's rules by assaulting contestant Lerato Sengadi on Tuesday, which prompted the channel to unilaterally evict him rather than allowing viewers to vote on it. Rights groups and viewers had called for his dismissal over the assault.

First and foremost Lerato started the whole thing, she was swearing her head off and in Hannington's face as well. Agreed Hannigton should have had a bit of patience or walked off,Never the less Lerato deserved the shove ,i seriously wish it was a slap..How can you keep insulting and insulting then you go up to his face and start blabbing(if na me i go slap the taste off your mouth)..He apologized to everybody and Lerato individually(Big brother did not try at all oh!!!) why didn't the human rights activist for women address anything that Lerato did SHIO(meaning rubbish), absolute nonsense.. If Hannington has left Lerato should take her leave too because she instigated the whole thing...

Please a note of warning should be given to Paloma to SHUT UP!!!! aaaahn what is it? i have a feeling her brain is in her ass and is lost in there,If her father is not a minister, she is vying for Governorship post or Her brothers wife sisters cousins died from physical abuse(babe shut up!!!)

SCAPE GOAT

Laugh won kill me die, what is happening in the entertainment industry as in...Laugh won kill me die...First Mi quits music for acting(OK,next) then D banj comes out with "SCAPE GOAT" for his val, i had to listen to the songs thrice at different times so i wouldnt be biased when reviewing it and all i have to say is that Dapo should really take a break maybe he should go into acting and get himself together, get some quality inspiration then come back because the song is rather SCAPY(IF THERE IS A WORD LIKE THAT)The beat is what makes the song audible and as always at this point we say thank Baba God for Don Jazzy),The song sounds a lot like Sunny NNeji's "Tolotolo".. I love his past songs but these past two have been quite questionable and sketchy
